Whitby Santa Claus Parade

The Whitby Santa Claus Parade has been held on the first Saturday of December for 50+ years. An event for all ages, the Whitby Santa Claus Parade showcases over 50 organizations holiday spirit as they walk along the Brock St. parade route. The Whitby Santa Claus Parade was organized by JCI Durham for the first 50 years of the parades history. The Optimist Club of Brooklin, Ontario took over the organization of the parade in 2022 and looks forward to continuing the traditions that JCI Durham started.
 

Parade Route: 

Starting: The parade’s starting point is at the intersection of Brock Street North and Manning Road

Ending: The parade will travel Southbound on Brock Street and end at the intersection of Brock Street South and Trent Street

An Evening of Lamplight 

Make spirits bright and merry at An Evening of Lamplight!

On Saturday, December 7, from 6–8 pm, the Oshawa Museum will open the doors to our historic homes to celebrate the holiday season. Traditionally Victorian-dressed staff members greet visitors in Henry House, which is lit with oil lamps. Robinson House features our exhibits, A Carrying Place and Untold Oshawa. Don’t forget to visit with Mother Christmas, and stop by Guy House for uniquely Oshawa gifts!

Entertainment for the evening will be provided by the Oshawa Civic Band.

Admission is $5 per person (free for members of the Oshawa Historical Society)

Have you ever wanted to learn to build and decorate a Gingerbread House? Now’s the perfect time, join Kelsey from Kelso's Bake Shop and learn how to decorate a Gingerbread House along with little gingerbread men, a door and candy cane.
You will learn how to construct your Gingerbread house, flood a cookie, the wet on wet technique and so much more.
At the end of this class you will walk away with a beautifully decorated Gingerbread House!
This is a beginner Cookie Decorating Class.
Everything you need will be provided for the class. Gingerbread house can come flooded white.
Cookies are gingerbread with vanilla royal icing. All products contain wheat, gluten, egg and dairy. All products are baked in a kitchen where nut and nut products are used.
Kelso's Bakeshop kitchen is DineSafe and food handler certified.
